For all of you wondering what on earth FAPOS is, let me explain. FAPOS is Caryn Esplin’s well loved acronym for Fine Art Photo Opportunity Stops (see http://comm316.carynesplin.com/projects/fine-art-photography/). All of these Fine Art photos are from an excursion that I got to go on with BYU-Idaho’s Comm 316 class.
It was such a great experience, learning how to do new things like Light Painting, Star Trails, Wide Angle Landscapes, Food Photography, Product Photography, and so much more. It seemed like everything was absolutely perfect the week that we were in Jackson, Wyoming and Grand Teton National Park for all these Photo Ops. I was so amazed at how you go about getting start trails and night sky photos. I have tried it before with very little success. Megan Kelly helped me begin to figure it out by teaching me how to set up my equipment and what camera settings to start at – it was super helpful!
Great job on the light painting! I especially love that you were able to capture some stars in a few of your images. Also, great idea to link Sister Esplins website so that others can discover more about what FAPOS is.
These are some great light paintings! It is a good variety of different shots! I really like your picture of the house with the trees and stars. great use of light painting.
Have you seen Cristel’s light paintings? They are pretty cool too.
